Smaller cities offer better conditions for doing business, says World Bank
Smaller cities in Slovakia offer better conditions for doing business, according to the World Bank report Doing Business in the EU 2018. It assesses the ease of doing business in 25 cities of five countries, including Slovakia. Setting up a firm is easiest in Prešov and Žilina, getting a building permit in Prešov, and getting a power supply in Žilina. Trnava is the best when it comes to real estate ownership changes, and Košice in claiming contractual obligations. The report calls on the countries to harmonize the conditions for doing business across regions.
