EETS launches in Slovakia

NDS, the national highway company, signed contracts with four European Toll Service (EETS) providers, which will launch EETS on March 15. Trucks will no longer have to pay tolls only via SkyToll, but will be able to use a single on-board unit across the EU. The service will be provided by ITIS (SkyToll), Telepass, Toll4Europe, and Eurowag, charging the same tolls as SkyToll.

NDS has recently announced that it will extend its overpriced toll contract with SkyToll to 2025, as it is still unable to complete a tender for a new toll system.
