EPH increases its stake in Slovenské elektrárne to 66%

EPH (Daniel Křetínský and Patrik Tkáč) signed a contract with Enel to acquire a 66% stake in Slovenské elektrárne; now it owns 33%. EPH bought the first 33% from Enel in 2016 for €150m and provided a guarantee for €1.1bn in loans SE took out from Enel. It is to acquire the second 33% after the completion of the third unit of the Mochovce nuclear power plant without further payment to Enel. SE posted a record net profit of €559m last year after a €255m loss in 2022.
