Eset particularly important for defending Ukraine against massive cybersecurity attacks
Microsoft and Eset, a Slovak IT security firm, have been particularly important for defending Ukraine against massive cybersecurity attacks from Russia in recent months, reckons Victor Zhora, head of Ukraine’s defensive cyber-security agency. Eset provided the intelligence which helped Ukrainian cyber-teams parry Industroyer2, a Russian malware used to attack the Ukraine’s electricity grid. Eset has been helping protect the grid since the first Russian attacks in 2016.
