Czech firm Hopi, the largest provider of warehouses for chilled and frozen food in Slovakia, plans to add another hall in its logistics park in Madunice. The unspecified investment will create 170 jobs. Hopi now employs 300 here, and last year posted a net profit of €1.2m on €34.3m sales. Its clients include Lidl, Billa, Metro, Hyza, Minit, and Meggle. These are seeing a growth in demand for fresh chilled food at the expense of non-perishable produce, and frozen fast food products.
