Hydac Electronic, German maker of hydraulic systems, plans to build a new plant in Tvrdošín and create 270 new jobs. Earlier this year, the government approved a €2m investment incentive for its other project, an €8.4m expansion of its existing plant in Tvrdošín. The automation of the production of electromagnetic systems, valves, and displays, and the new production of farming camera systems is to create 68 jobs. The existing plant employs 360, of whom 40 are in product development, and has annual sales of €45m. The new plant should be completed in two years.
