Javys and Newcleo to invest €3.2bn in new nuclear reactors
State-owned Javys and France’s Newcleo aim to form a joint venture to build four 200 MW reactors in Jaslovské Bohunice. The €3.2bn reactors would be lead-cooled and process Slovak spent nuclear fuel. Javys is to have a 51% stake and Newcleo 49%, but so far only framework contracts have been signed. The source of the financing has not yet been determined.
