Median assets of Slovak households are the 7th-lowest in eurozone
The median assets of a Slovak household are the 7th-lowest in the eurozone, at €116,000 last year, European Central Bank data show. Thanks to property ownership, they are €10,000 higher than in Germany. 93% Slovaks own the properties they live in, the highest share in the EU after Romania. In Germany, it is not even half. Germans, in turn, have higher financial assets. The median wealth in the eurozone was €151,000 and in Austria €154,000 last year.
