Pavel Tykač is no longer interested in buying the Košice steel mill U.S. Steel
Czech Sev.en Energy (Pavel Tykač) is no longer interested in buying the Košice steel mill U.S. Steel, HN sources say. Negotiations have reportedly been going on since last year, and while the Americans value the mill at €1.5bn, Tykač and the Hungarian group Mol have offered €0.8bn each. According to HN, it is thus very likely that the mill will not be sold.
The steel mill's management has been saying for some time that it is looking for a partner to invest in new technologies.
