The prices of new apartments in Bratislava were 13% higher annually at the end of September, at €3,868 per sqm excluding VAT, realtor Herrys data show. Since the end of June, prices have risen by only 1.7%. About 1,900 new apartments are on the market. Their number is increasing, as sales fell by 40% annually in 3Q due to high prices, unaffordable mortgages, and uncertainty about energy prices. Herrys expects prices to stagnate in coming months. It says that the share of investment property buyers is rising. Those buying their own housing are increasingly switching to old apartments.
