Real estate ownership data safe despite cyber-attack on cadaster

Data on property ownership is safe despite the cyber-attack on the cadaster, says Agriculture Minister Richard Takáč. He added that the cadaster has backups of all data and neither companies nor citizens will lose their property ownership documents. He did not disclose whether the hackers ‘only’ encrypted the data or also stole some of it. The state has not paid them ransom. The regional cadaster branches will open this week but will only provide services within their districts; the date of launching the central system has not yet been determined.
