Rheem Manufacturing to build water storage tanks plant in Prešov
US firm Rheem Manufacturing plans to build a new plant for the production of water storage tanks in Prešov and create 500 jobs there. The volume of the investment was not specified. It will be carried out by its subsidiary DeJong, which supplies water storage tanks for heat pumps, boilers and solar systems. Production is scheduled to start in 2025.
In the past year, Vaillant, Hoval, Winkelmann, Stiebel Eltron, and BDR Thermae announced investments in heat pumps and their components in Slovakia. Their combined investments amount to €400m and will create 3,500 jobs.
