Slovak tax-to-GDP ratio rose the most of all EU countries over the past decade
The Slovak tax-to-GDP ratio, the sum of taxes and social contributions as a share of GDP, rose the most of all EU countries over the past decade, Eurostat reported. In the EU, the ratio rose to 41.2% in 2022 from 40.5% in 2012. France (48.0%), Belgium (45.6%) and Austria (43.6%) redistributed the most resources last year, while Ireland (21.7%), Romania (27.5%) and Malta (29.6%) had the smallest states. The tax-to-GDP ratio:
