Slovakia is the 4th-poorest EU member in terms of GDP per capita based on purchasing power standards for 2023, updated Eurostat data show. In terms of actual individual consumption (AIC), which reflects households’ material welfare, Slovakia is the 3rd-poorest. GDP and AIC per capita in PPS in 2023 as a share of EU average:
