Slovakia is the EU’s 4th-poorest country, if you believe Eurostat data on GDP per capita in purchasing power standards. Revised data put the Slovak economy at 73% of the EU average in 2023. GDP per capita in PPS as a share of EU average:

In nominal terms, Slovak GDP per capita rose from 53% to 60% of the EU average over the previous decade, while labor costs rose from 38% to 55%.
