Slovakia will buy 12 older Black Hawk UH-60 helicopters
Slovakia will buy 12 older Black Hawk UH-60 helicopters in the L version, Defense Minister Robert Kaliňák announced. He will buy them from Helicopter Alliance, 91% owned by Jaroslav Strnad, founder of the CSG group. CSG is currently owned by his son, Michal. Kaliňák makes no secret of his close relations with CSG. The price has not yet been determined; they are to cost €150m without armament.
The US has already delivered the third F-16 fighter jet to Slovakia. Two more are expected to land in February and four in August 2025.
