Slovalco plans to restart aluminum production, is backed by Environment Minister

Environment Minister Tomáš Taraba (SNS) backs Slovalco's plans to restart aluminum production, even with higher added value than before 2022, when it stopped production (except for a small recycling line) amid high electricity prices, low aluminum prices and weak state support. Taraba stressed that the new government will respect EU environment norms, but employment will be the priority.
