State-owned gas utility SPP posted a net profit of just €25m last year after a €234m profit for 2021. Revenue from contracts with customers doubled to €4bn due to rising gas and electricity prices. It remained in the black only thanks to a €1.1bn profit from trading on foreign markets and derivative operations. It had a 58% share of the total domestic gas market and a 12% share of electricity supply to households.
