Stellantis will produce cheap all-electric Citroën e-C3 in Trnava
Stellantis announced that it will produce the all-electric Citroën e-C3 in Trnava, priced under €25,000, with sales starting in mid-2024. Thanks to this model, production at the Trnava plant is expected to top 400,000 cars per year. The plant is investing €180m in the production of several electric car models. It has already been producing the electric Peugeot 208 for some time, but its assembly is being moved to cheaper plants in Morocco and Spain. According to media reports, the plant will also produce the Citroën C3 Aircross and Opel Crossland small electric SUV models.
VW has been producing electric city cars in Bratislava for a long time and will also produce an electric Porsche Cayenne. Kia in Žilina does not yet produce electric cars, only hybrids. Jaguar Land Rover in Nitra produces only diesel and petrol cars.
