Toll system faces another delay

NDS, the national highway company, has postponed the deadline for submitting bids in a tender for the new highway toll tender for the second time, this time from May 14 to June 14. It must wait for ÚVO, the public procurement authority, to deal with objections raised against the tender conditions. NDS’ contract with the current toll operator, SkyToll (Petr Syrovátko), will expire at the end of 2022. NDS still believes the new system will be up and running by then. If not, it will extend the contract with SkyToll.
