Všeobecná zdravotná poisťovňa, the state-owned health insurer, will break even this year, its CEO Matúš Jurových said. It had expected a €169m loss this summer and a €95m loss in September. The improvement came despite the state providing no additional funding. He attributes the improvement to rationalization measures in healthcare and medicines reimbursements.
